Q. What is a Core-Cooler?
A. A Core-Cooler is a personal garment worn under your shirt, similar to a dickey or bib. When soaked in water the core-cooler swells and as heat causes evaporation, the water vapor released cools the blood traveling to your brain.
Q. What about using a cold towel or ice to cool down?
A. Using ice or cold water on your skin will trick your brain into believing it has cooled off and actually shut down the bodies natural processes causing a temporary spike in your body's core temperature and increasing the negative effects of heat. The Core-Cooler helps prevent your bodies from rising to dangerous levels in the first place and maintains your temperature at a comfortable level. A. Tests have shown that wearing a Core-Cooler helps to reduce the body's core temperature when physically active in hot weather. A cooler core temperature means more oxygen in your blood and increase in comfort and performance.
Q. Why would I care to reduce my body's core temperature?
A. An increase in your body's core temperature can a will create a multitude of problems ranging from fatigue and over heating to heat stroke and even death. An early sign of heat fatigue is a loss of mental alertness or "Brain Fade".

Q. How does the Core Cooler maintain coolness?
A. Through evaporation. By slowly releasing the water in the fabric, the Core Cooler stays cool with refrigeration.
Q. How long will it stay cool for?
A. A fully hydrated Core Cooler will stay cool for days depending on the temperature, humidity and airflow.
Q. What’s it made of?
A. The Core Cooler Personal Radiator’s outer shell is made of 100% cotton and it is specially laminated with a polycrylamide. Polycilamyde is a plastic which absorbs up to 500 times its’ weight in liquid. Polycrilimyde is nontoxic, hypoallergenic and Eco friendly.
Q. How do I clean it?
A. The Core Cooler should be hand washed with milled soap. (Your favorite shampoo is perfect) Soak the collar for an hour first then work up lather on the surface of the collar rinse, repeat and hang to dry. (You should dry your collar completely before storing it)
