As
a young motocross racer on a budget, out of necessity, company president
and founder Michael Bryant became an innovator at early age. The search
for a competitive edge, an inquisitve nature and lack of funding, led
Michael to create several innovative products of his own. Products which
provided the performance gains needed to take Michael to the top of the
250 Expert Class and earn him nine state and regional championships.
A career change in 1983 brought Michael to Hollywood, where he found his
ability to visualize and improvise was well received. It was on the set
of the television show "Orange County" where Michaels first had the idea
to creat the "Core-Cooler".
"The heat was intense in the Malibu Mountains and people where dropping.
The neck wraps we were using just didn't get the job done. Some people
wouldn't even wear them because they didn't look cool. That's when it
hit me. Make a wrap, which when worn under a shirt would look good and
cool your bodies core temperature. I got it to work..."
Testing his creation on racing friends and his seven year old triplets,
Michael came up with the right combination of form and function and the
Core-Cooler was born...
"I couldn't be happier. The product works great.
It improves your performance in the heat and cuts your recovery time regardless
of what activities you're engaged in. It's a simple concept and it works.
We're just now finding out all the potential use for it. The Core-Cooler
not only improves your performance but in many cases the Core-Cooler actually
improves the quality of life for the user. I feel blessed to have created
something which will make such a profound improvement in so many people's
lives."
Michael's not finished yet. He's always looking for ways to improve his
product and his customers' quality of life. As for customers, Michael
loves working with them to create collars for specific applications.
"I encourage people to email me with their input. It's always fun to help
out when I can."
What's Michael think of his new found career? "It's

Dan & Lynn Wilen, Managing Partners
Dan and Lynn Wilen, a husband and wife team joined Michael
as the financial and managing partners of Cool-Tekware, Inc. From the
very start Dan and Lynn felt Michael's enthusiasm and determination to
bring the cool collar concept to fruition. Dan and Lynn both being entrepreneurs
and fitness enthusiasts could the value of putting their expertise to
work and making Cool-Tekware a top-notch sports and fitness company.
Dan, a semi-retired attorney and businessman, brings over 40 years of
legal and business experience to the company. Lynn brings 20 years of
business and health and fitness experieince. This includes years spent
in design and developing her own clothing company.
Dan is the Chief Financial Officer of the company and Lynn is the general
operating manager. Together with Michael, they share the same vision;
bring a quality product to improve performance.
